"Step inside", and farewell to Jova....

Here is the cordial invite to The Beer Run Gallery's latest, and for the time being, last show. Our doors will be closing on 18th st, but there will be bigger and better endeavors in the near future. So keep your eyes peeled for TBRG events in other cities. We've had a great time here in Pilsen, and we truly want to thank everyone for their support, because we honestly couldn't have done it without our artists and our patrons. That being said, we hope to see you October 2nd....

The Beer Run Gallery presents "Step Inside" - A One Night only exhibition featuring work from: Jova Durán | “El Grafista”.Like One. Revise CMW. Jaci Peña

Step inside the minds and look through the eyes of these four artists as a large display of artwork ranging from mixed media, to aerosol, to photography will be available to purchase and take home the same night.
Select pieces starting at $10. Everything must go by the end of the night!

**This will also be a farewell party for our good friend Jova Duran as he will be leaving Chicago. Come give the guy a hug one last time! A celebration will be in tact.**

Music by Dj Revel

- Jova Durán “El Grafista” experiments with painting on ‘everyday life’ surfaces, creating work that analyzes his surroundings

- Jaci Peña reveals the beauty within urban landscapes and its artists

- Revise's pieces seek to encompass the magnetic, artistic side of graffiti as well as the love of illegal street art he will always possess.

- Like One’s work revolves around unification, clarity, humor, evolution, and the natural desire for all organisms to build.

Please join us August 13th from 7pm-11pm as we welcome Won Kim and Jarret Spiegel to The Beer Run Gallery for a collaborative two man show. Both artists have stepped outside their comfort zone to bring their painting styles together through rigorous layers of painting over the last 6 months. Music will be provided by the sounds of Dj Intel, and refreshments courtesy of Goose Island. Hope to see you there. Hope to see you all!

Flock You!!!!

Big thanks to everyone who made it out to the opening of "Flock You"! We had a great turnout (you can see more pics on the TBRG facebook page. There was some really great work in the show, and Peter Kepha's birdhouse installation in the front room completely stole the show. If you didn't make it to the opening night, I highly encourage you stop by to check it all out.

Escape of the Crazies!...

Here's a few pics from David "Cove" Gonzalez's show "Escape of the Crazies" at Sip coffee house a couple weeks ago. I'm a huge fan of David's, his character style is pretty damn original. So much flavor! Not to mention his graffiti is equally as awesome to look at, and the guy has put in work.
